he working principle of a gear hobbing machine can be simply divided into the following steps:

1. Clamping the workpiece: Firstly, clamp the workpiece to be processed on the workbench, ensuring that it is firmly fixed on the workbench for subsequent processing operations.


2. Tool positioning: The tool is positioned on the workpiece through a transmission device. 

The position and angle of the cutting tool need to be adjusted according to the requirements of the workpiece to ensure the accuracy and precision of cutting.

3. Start machining: Activate the control system of the gear hobbing machine to start cutting the workpiece with the tool.

 The cutting motion of the tool is driven by a transmission device and can be carried out along the axial or radial direction of the workpiece.

4. Cutting process: During the cutting process, the blade of the tool comes into contact with the surface of the workpiece and cuts at a certain speed and force. 

The cutting form of the tool can be forward milling, reverse milling, or direct insertion.

5. Tooth groove formation: Through cutting, the tool gradually removes the metal material on the surface of the workpiece, forming tooth grooves. 

The cutting speed and feed rate of the tool can be adjusted according to the requirements of the workpiece to achieve the desired machining effect.


6. Complete machining: When the tool cuts to the specified depth or length of the workpiece, perform manual machining operation.

 At this point, the workpiece has already formed tooth grooves for gears

7. Decompress the workpiece: After processing is completed, contact the clamping of the workpiece and remove it.
