How to adjust the large variation of the gear hobbing machine

When the gear hobbing machine has a large amount of variation, the following methods can be used to adjust it:

Adjusting the clearance between the cutter wheel and the module gear: Excessive clearance between the cutter wheel and the module gear may increase the amount of variation, 

affecting the machining quality. The tension screw on the cutter wheel can be adjusted to reduce the gap between the cutter wheel and the module gear, and then the cutter wheel adjustment screw can be fixed.

Replace the appropriate module: Poor module quality or severe wear can also lead to increased variability.

 Replace with a new and suitable module, adjust the position and pressure of the new module, and then restart processing.

Adjust pressure: The pressure of the gear hobbing machine directly affects the quality of the processed workpiece. 

Adjust the pressure adjustment screw appropriately to achieve the appropriate pressure.

Using a dynamic balancing instrument for adjustment: Although this method requires professional skills and equipment, it can accurately adjust the imbalance of the turntable.

Using installation wires or weighting blocks for adjustment: These two methods are relatively simple and suitable for adjusting the imbalance of the turntable, 

but the adjustment effect is relatively less accurate than that of a dynamic balance meter.

Adjust the direction and angle of the turntable: Adjust the direction and angle of the turntable according to actual needs to optimize the depth of gear hobbing and machine efficiency

Adjust spacing: Ensure that the distance between adjacent teeth on the turntable is appropriate to affect cutting quality and machine efficiency.

Replacing the tool: If the tool is excessively worn, replacing it with a new tool can solve the problem of unstable dimensions.

Control processing temperature and pressure: avoid material deformation and ensure that the temperature and pressure during the processing are within a controllable range

Timely maintenance of equipment: Conduct comprehensive cleaning and inspection of mechanical equipment, and replace aging parts in a timely manner.

Using automation control technology: For machining tasks that require high precision, using a numerical control system can improve dimensional accuracy and stability.
