Power on preparation

Place the CNC gear hobbing machine on a flat surface and connect the power and air sources to ensure that the machine is in normal working condition.

Start the air pump, wait for the air pressure to reach the specified value, and then turn on the main power of the machine tool.

Press the POWER<ON>button on the system panel to start the system.

Observe whether there is an alarm on the display. If there is an alarm, press the MESSAGE button to enter the page to view the alarm information,

 and then clear the alarm before proceeding to the next step of the machine tool operation.

Parameter setting

According to the requirements of the workpiece and the settings of the CNC program, set the machining parameters of the CNC gear hobbing machine, including the selection of cutting tools, feed rate, cutting depth, etc.

Operation steps

Power on preheating: Press the start switch of the CNC gear hobbing machine to perform system self-test and initialization, and preheat the gear hobbing tool to the set temperature.

Clamping workpiece: Fix the gear workpiece to be machined on the worktable of the CNC gear hobbing machine and perform clamping operation.

Edit program: According to actual needs, edit the gear hobbing program through the CNC system and upload the program to the CNC gear hobbing machine.

Start machining: Press the machining start button to start the automatic machining operation of the CNC gear hobbing machine. During the processing, 

attention should be paid to observing the processing status to prevent abnormal situations from occurring.

End processing: After processing is completed, manually move the worktable back to the origin and turn off the CNC gear hobbing machine.

Cutting method

Before performing tool alignment, clean the surface of the machine tool to ensure that it is flat and free of debris.

Check whether the various components of the machine tool are intact, especially whether the tool clamping force is appropriate.

Confirm that the power supply of the machine tool is normal, start each system for testing.

Place the tool, set the tool width, and ensure that the center of the tool is parallel to the machine coordinate axis.

Adjust the cooling system to ensure that the tool does not overheat during machining.

Select the zero point, return to the coordinate axis, and achieve it by manually moving the tool holder or CNC system.

Use measuring tools such as comparators to measure the position of the tool and ensure its accuracy.

Monitoring and safety precautions during the processing

During the processing, always pay attention to the operation of the machine and inspect the product in a timely manner, and correct any problems found in a timely manner.

Protective equipment must be worn during operation to avoid collision between the rolling cutter and the workpiece.

Ensure that the height between the bottom surface of the blank and the worktable meets the requirements of the machine tool.

After processing, promptly inspect the processed parts and eliminate or rework any non-conforming products.
