Common causes and elimination methods of errors in gear hobbing

The parallelism deviation between the spindle axis of the machine tool and the spindle axis of the worktable can be caused by the following reasons:

When adjusting the fixed guide rail and sliding guide rail of the tool holder body, insert strips. If the fit is not good or the gap is too large, it will affect the tooth alignment;

The ring on the worm gear inside the tool holder does not coincide with the axis of the tool spindle;

The end face of the support worm wheel or support ring of the tool holder body is not perpendicular to the axis of the tool spindle.

The gear hobbing machine makes the blade unstable.  

Solution:

Strictly control the parallelism between the spindle axis of the machine tool and the spindle axis of the worktable. The specific measures are:

Adjust the position of the strip so that the gap between the sliding guide rail and the worm wheel hole is not greater than 0.005;

After aligning, tighten the screws and reattach the positioning pin;

Scratch both end faces to ensure their perpendicularity is within 0.01 range.

Adjust the blade mechanism to achieve a reset accuracy within 0.01.
