How to disassemble the main shaft of the gear shaping machine

1. Dismantle the cover plate bolts first, then remove the cover plate and the cross shaft needle roller bearing housing.

2. After removing the locking rings of the needle roller bearing shells of the other two cross shafts, hold the two journals of the cross shaft by hand, and gently tap the edge of the universal joint fork of the transmission shaft or expansion sleeve with a hammer to push out the bearing shells of the cross shaft. Do not knock on the edge of the bearing hole or the bottom of the bearing shell during disassembly.

3. Clean all parts thoroughly, apply a small amount of lubricating grease inside the bearing housing, and install the bearing roller needle.

4. Install the needle roller bearing cover, felt, and washer back onto the cross shaft neck, then insert the cross shaft into the universal joint fork, with the lubricating grease nozzle facing the transmission shaft, and install it into the bearing housing without any jamming or loosening.
